Frank Keane Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland embraced the spirit of Christmas with an extra special delivery to LauraLynn, just in time for Christmas, writes Trish Whelan.
the team at Frank Keane Volkswagen specially decorated a VW Amarok transforming the vehicle into Santa’s sleigh and packed it full of gifts and supplies for the children and their families to enjoy at LauraLynn.
LauraLynn provides a range of services including symptom management for children; music and play therapy; psychological support; family and sibling camps; short breaks and end of life care. Care can be availed of in the hospice in Leopardstown, at hospital, in the community, or in the family home, depending on the child and family’s preference. It provides vital bereavement supports to families after they have lost a child. It also undertakes research into the relatively new area of children’s palliative care.
Claire Shiels of LauraLynn said “We are thrilled with the support and generosity of Frank Keane Volkswagen. their gifts will make a significant impact on our Therapeutic programmes for the children here at LauraLynn for 2018. Thank you Frank Keane Volkswagen!”
Ger Colwell, Frank Keane Volkswagen said “We believe that all children who have been affected by serious illness should get to enjoy their childhood, especially around Christmas time. LauraLynn is a great organisation and our donation is only a small token which we hope contributes towards LauraLynn’s cause. We made a commitment a few years ago that we would make an annual donation to charities who make the lives of children better, and we are delighted to be here at LauraLynn today.”
